RE-DO

Last week, we had some behavior problems, but it was a complete turn around this week. I began by reminding them of the choices we made last week and the consequences, but that this week we get another chance to try again and do it better. It seemed to work because we all had such a great time.

I taught them how to create their own piece by allowing them to help me choreograph one. Once they had that down, and reviewed hibernating and migrating, they came up with their own choreography with a partner or a trio. I was a little hesitant because I had never done this with them. I hoped that they had a solid enough understanding of movement that they could do it. And they did! I saw some really great movement and ideas. They were so creative! They also worked really well with partners.

I was reminded today of how much I love teaching children and how bright and creative they are. Our re-do was definitely a success!!
